Sydney is
a Greater Sulphur Crested Cockatoo who is a severe plucker. She has been under the care of a vet and a bird behaviorist,
without success. We have also tried behavior modification, also without
success. She is a happy and loving bird who will sit all day, as long as someone
is
scratching or petting her. She clicks her beak in contentment.
Sydney was accepted into the Wings of Hope-NJ Sanctuary Program, and we
hope to use her in our Educational Program in the future.
Zappa is a Congo African Grey who, for
reasons unknown,
mutilates himself. He is a loving, friendly bird. He is under
the care of our veterinarian and is doing well. We hope to start him
on some behavior modification and put an end to his mutilating. He
is currently in the care of a foster home, and we will provide
updates to his care.

Ollie is
an Orange Winged Amazon who was the victim of frost bite on his feet. One is a total amputation and the other is a stump.
Ollie was surrendered by his loving owner, as he was unable to keep him
any longer. He has a special modified cage, with ladders and platforms,
and does well. He is also under the care of our veterinarian. If you
would like to donate to the fund to help either of these birds, or any other special needs birds we may accept, please send your
donation, clearly marked "Special Needs" to:
