Available Birds
If you're interested in adopting a friend from Wings of Hope, please see below for the birds that we have available for adoption.

Additionally, we have some Special Need Birds that are also looking for the right home.  Visit our Special Needs page.

Parakeets and conures are disease tested and come with a cage, toys, and a small supply of food so that your bird can eat the same food that he or she did in their foster home. This helps to smooth your bird's transition into their new home.

Read some success stories about some of our adopters experiences with the parakeets they adopted from us.

If you see a bird that you are interested in adopting, please fill out an online adoption application or use the printable adoption application and return it to us for processing.

Birds of the Month

Cornelius and Sassy moved into a new foster home one week ago. Their previous foster home is no longer able to foster birds for WOH. Cornelius immediately responded sweetly and was friendly. He steps up from inside his cage, on top of his cage or from the floor. He likes to sit on a stand and look out the window. At first he would only say "hi" and "hello". Then this weekend he has started saying a lot more words and even singing. I have the radio on in their room during the day. So far he will only sing or carry on conversations if I am not in the room. The most he has said to me is the "hi" and "hello". Cornelius continues to wear the sweater his previous foster mom made for him. He doesn't seem to mind it at all. I also haven't seen him plucking anywhere on his body.
Sassy is not yet comfortable in her new surroundings. I think she is not sure if she can trust me or not yet. While Cornelius likes to sit on his stand or on top of his cage, Sassy immediately climbs down to the floor when I open the cage. She likes to play in a corner where I put a wicker basket with toys for her. However, as soon as I walk into the room she runs out of the corner to watch me and will nip at my feet if I continue to walk around the room. She appears to be very protective of Cornelius. However, several times I have quietly sat on the floor and let her come over to me in her own time. She will come over very slowly and then lightly touch her beak to my pants. Sassy is going to take longer to win over, but I will continue to work to gain her trust.

These two beautiful, funny birds are waiting for the right family to come along and share their lives with. Come and meet them, maybe it is you.  Please contact us for more info and to arrange to meet them.

These birds are being fostered in Hightstown, NJ
