![]() Hello everyone, my name is Dina A., and I have been a member of Wings Of Hope since August of 2004. I became a member after speaking with the co founder Leesa Jenkins-Brown, when I called to donate some cages that I had lying around my house. I have owned birds in the past (mostly keets and tiels growing up) and now also own birds as an adult. I have 1 African Grey named Gracie/AKA Greg, 1 Lutino Cockatiel named Callie, and I have also adopted a Lovebird named Lime from the group. I also share my house with my husband, 4 kids, 3 dogs, 1 cat, 1 Anole, 1 hermit crab and fish, and not to mention numerous fosters that come in from Wings of Hope. I am a bus driver, which allows me to spend a large part of my day at home to care for my animals, as well as the convenience of being home for my children. I enjoy working with birds and feel great at the end of the day knowing that I had a small part in finding a perfect forever home for our feathered friends. To me having birds is a great experience not only for me, but for my children as well. Not only are they entertaining, but their beauty and love for companionship with humans is an experience that you will never forget. I hope once in anyone’s lifetime they will get to share some part of their life with a bird that is more than happy to share their love right back with you, unconditionally. Thank you Wings Of Hope for allowing me to be part of such a great organization and helping in finding forever homes for such great little animals. I will treasure the moments that I have had and look forward to creating new ones. |
